The pride of CODISSIA is the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex. The complex has become an important landmark in the city. The fame of the complex has spread far and wide across the country in the industrial and trade fair circles. It has also spurred the imagination of other cities which have subsequently developed similar complexes. It is the vision of CODISSIA to make Coimbatore the trade fair capital of South India.

Trade Fairs and Exhibitions play a vital role to promote the economy of the region. With this in view CODISSIA has been organising exhibitions since 1982.

CODISSIA organized ENDEX '82, an entrepreneurial development exhibition which provided a platform for entrepreneurs to display their products at the President Hall, Avanashi Road. Considering the importance of bringing the latest technology to the industries in Coimbatore the first 1st National Level Industrial Trade Fair, INTEC 88 with duration of 10 days was organised in 1988 in the playground of PSG Tech. Encouraged by its success, CODISSIA organized INTEC once in 3 years (January 91, January 94, January 97) in the same venue.

CODISSIA then decided to establish a Permanent Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore. It formed a Trust - CODISSIA INTEC Technology Centre and acquired 40 acres of land near the Airport, in Vilankurichi Village for this purpose. The building with an area of 1,60,000 Sq. feet was built in 160 days between August and December 1999. The Complex has 2 A/c Halls of 210 Sq. Metres each for holding Seminars, Meetings, Group discussions etc. There is an open space of 2000 Sq. metres suitable for Open Air events, parties, outdoor display etc. The Trade Fair Complex has facilities for communication, space for Food Court and facilities for parking for more than 3000 cars and 5000 two wheelers at a time.

The cost of the complex was Rs.12 crores and was partly funded through a loan from SIDBI. CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, the largest in South India was dedicated to the Nation on 16.2.2001 by the then Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Industrial Trade Fairs INTEC 2000, INTEC 2002 INTEC 2004 and INTEC 2005 were organised there.
